Wii Games

you need to be wary - there is a lot of rubbish on the wii
they seem to use it like the ds

5 killer apps and the rest resemble flash games with the replayability of 3 days max

stear clear of umbrella chronicles if you are a resi fan

its dire beyond words

Sounds a lot like the PS1/2.

I'm a couple of levels in on Resident Evil umbrella and am completely surprised how good it is. Maybe i was expecting a dire game and expectations were low, but gotta say i love it. Ties all the other Resi games together story wise, some nice cut scenes, great arcade shooter type game.

Super Mario galaxy is pure genius too.

I enjoyed Resi:UC in coop with the gf but it is very short.

Pro Evo Soccer 2008, it got 9 for playability from IGN.

Looking forward to it myself. Defense controls aren't suppose to be great, but i have yet to play a football game where they were!

Okami is one to look out for in the next few months if you haven't played it on the PS2- which most people haven't given it's sales!

Despite the Wii's shortage of games, I'm actually struggling to keep up since Christmas with the releases - just haven't the cash. Still want to pick up Battalion Wars 2, Zack and Wiki and will be getting Pro Evo next week and Mario Kart for my birthday. Hopefully I'll get plenty of birthday money to get the titles I've missed out on.

As mentioned previously:

Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Resident Evil 4

Warioware: Smooth Moves if you have the mates round

Replace Warioware with Rayman for same-room drunken minigame fun, and I'd agree with your list. I dunno why, but I just don't "get" the Warioware concept.

Oh, and should probably add Zelda, GH3, Super Paper Mario and Mario Strikers to the list too.

Not tried Mario & Sonic at the Olympics nor Zack & Wiki yet, but they're supposedly good enough to join the list from what I've heard / reviews I've read.

Compared to WarioWare and Rayman 1/2 it just seemed overly simple and a bit dull. See if you can try before you buy.

It's a very different sort of game in my eyes. Still found it great fun and most people I've played it with 'got' it more (eg: not worrying about being in Samurai stance).

And yes, I am a noob dear :p
