So, just got a Wii having not owned one since the first 12 months or so that it was released and wondering which games I'd be recommended based off similar to ones I'll list here which are ones I currently intend to pick up. Any suggestions of a decent place to get them too? Still rather high price at local stores.

Zelda Skyward Sword (shameless fanboy!)
Monster Hunter Tri (love this series)
Xenoblade (I love JRPGS, looks good)
The Last Story (see above)
Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Enjoyed the first SMG/SM64)

I've already played/completed Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime, Super Mario Galaxy, NFS: Carbon in the past.

That's about all I can think of atm, excluding most non-exclusives as likely played on other platforms and not including Gamecube games. Okami's one I pondered over, only played it an hour or two before and didn't grab me, worth a revisit? Also haven't had much luck searching for decent local co-op games but if any ideas that'd be cool too, not talking semi co-op like SMG2 or vs eachother like SSBB (also a game I'm curious about, just doesn't look to have much long lasting enjoyment for one-two people?)

Also are any really decent games better off with classic controllers? So far we'd only have wiimote(s)/nunchuk(s).

Pandora's Tower and Tales of Symphonia are worth looking into if you've not played them before.

EDIT: I've only played the PS3 version but Tales of Graces is worth a look too if "f" is anything to go by.

Thanks for the suggestions, will look into those.

Any input on co-op or is my view actually accurate? It seems to me that gave developers made stupid choices on a lot of games to not allow full co-operative play on games you'd really expect it to be such as Monster Hunter Tri and Mario Kart Wii. Me and my brother just enjoy actual co-operative games and unlocking stuff together, MH3 would've been perfect =/

A VC game would have to be insanely good co-op for us to consider it, just want to play Wii games really

Edit: We posted same time; SW3 looks pretty bad tbh :x

It's no surprise to see Japanese dev's struggling when they missed out on features like that. Secret Of Mana was an amazing 2/3 player game on the Snes but Square basically ignored that in all their other RPG's only for companies like Blizzard to embrace it with the Warcraft series.

SoM coop is fairly strong but I am not sure how well it has dated. I find that when I go back and play games from ~15-20 years ago I have rose tinted glasses if I played them back.
Another VC game(at least I think it's on the VC)-Super Probotector on the hardest setting was fairly insane in two player.

Boom Blox was a fun Wii game that was overlooked.
