Will the Wii look anygood being displayed on a Dell (24") 2405fpw?

This is the only thing putting me off getting a Wii, as im worried the high resolution monitor will make the Wii graphics look really really bad. :(

Cheers :)

I would have the same feeling as you tbh, i think it might not look great, can you run the Wii through component?

Also are you sure you will have the space to play a Wii on a PC monitor?

Since the Wii apparently uses the same graphics chip but clocked higher I'm guessing it'll look similar to the Gamecube. I have mine hooked up to my monitor via component and 480p looks good. Its not sparkly HD like the 360 but its a clean, sharp signal.

I expect the Wii to look just as good. I'm more worried about the viewing angles on my monitor and all the swivelling to get it right for sitting/standing play.

hmm i play my GC on my HDTV with std cables and it looks poor. i wont be getting a wii until i know for sure that it does 720p native because franky i wont play it unless it does

Not to butt in or anything but could you guys tell me what leads/adapters I would need to connect my Wii to my LG 20" tft?? It has a DVI and VGA input. Is it possible?

What monitor do you have?

remember what they are saying about the wiimote. if its true, dont expect to sit closer than about 6ft from the screen because the wiimote wont work.

480p would look fine if you were wise enough not to use the god aweful "std cables".

I have a nice shiny 32" TV to play my Wii on. I seriously doubt a small 24" monitor would cut it.

being as my component input is taken up by my PS2, im not going to start messing around and switching the cables everytime i want a game on my GC.. which is rare enough anyway, only used it probably 5 times since i bought months ago...

If you have a xbox360 then just set it to output 480p...Then you know what the Wii will look like..

What is it with people of today..It was only a few years ago..that almost everyone was PC gaming on 17" / 19" screens..

I have a 43" plasma to game on...But am just as happy playing games on my 24" dell...

One of them 19" Samsung 940MWs. I'd prefer a bigger, better screen but it'd mean a bigger desk... room... house :(

Good point if you have one. You'll get a feel how well your screen handles the scaling.
