Sorry if the link has already been posted, i had a look at thread titles down the page before making the thread and couldnt see anything that related to this.

To me this looks like great fun, i mean if the motion sensing works aswell as it looks in that video, its already bought me a Wii.

Cant wait to get my hands on one now, i was gunna buy one just for the new zelda game but now, wow, im just gobsmacked.

Meh, I actually feel slightly less excited by that vid now.

a) your not actually going to sit in your room playing games like that are you?

b) The big franchises like RE, Metroid or Zelda dont interest me, so whats left? Obscure Jap. titles or glorified mini-games.

Personally the big appeal to me of the nintendo games has always been how they are family oriented and good fun to play with anyone.

Christmas day i shall be dressed in all white, i shall also force the gf into it to and we will spend all day playing with our Wii :D

That is of course unless she fails to listen to my instructions and gets me something else for chrimbo instead ;)

The more i see the the wii control in use, the less im keen on getting one. Looks more and more like a gimmick one is gonna get tired off and wears off within a short time.....

Though a LOT of those games look very much gimmick games, where you'll play them for the first few days and get tired of them until you show your mates or something, I'm sure there will also be a lot of games that will be awesome to play with that kind of style of gameplay. Still would love to play one.

I'm hoping they have a good option in some games to allow you to just you a normal controller, so you don't have to tire yourself out all the time etc.

You aren't interested in anything that isn't a PS3, regardless of how good it is.
.

Not since when Sony delayed the european launch and i refuse to do an import this time. :) I think i need to explore other avenues - Should get a 360 by friday and will be looking to buy the wii depending on if it has a real controller or not.

You can of course use existing Gamecube pads with the Wii, as well as the classic/retro controller. Whether the classic pad can be used or will be used by developers in some games (I'm thinking about Pro Evo etc) rather than Gamecube or Wiimote. I can't imagine that Nintendo will continue to sell Gamecube pads a year down the line unless they rebrand them (white with Wii on rather than black with Gamecube on...)

I've given up second guessing Nintendo now!

With regards to the video, it has actually made me happier about the inclusion of Wii Sports. While kitsch it does look a huge amount of fun - especially multiplayer. I was also very impressed with the graphics of games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Sonic and Umbrella Chronicles. Some good times ahead :D

I agree I'm slightly sceptical about how well all that golfswing, tennis action batting stuff is going to work. Dont see it being that good as a shooting remote either.

I have thought about pre ordering but I will likely hold off to see some real feedback on how the controllers are and what the games are like.

I predict Argos will be selling these off for £30 in a couple of years.

Once the gimmiky control system as worn off all your left with is a gamecube by the looks of it.

I do love the DS though :)
