Wii memory card ?

Hi ppl

Having just ordered a Wii for the kids xmas pressie, I thought I got all they needed, but then I thought "Do I need a memory card for it ?" or will it save game progress etc without ?
If its best to have one, I presume any SD card is fine, and any size will be recognised ?

Wii has internal memory(512mb). If it fills up, you can just use an sd card.

You'll need a gamecube memory card to save GC games though.

ive had a wii since launch and have never needed a memory card
but then i dont use it at all
