Well, the 360 have their gamer tags, so I put to gether a rather quick (and dirty) website to let Wii owners display their name and Wii address (or anything else really!!

Only displays nam an number / website at the moment but if Nintendo do any online stats etc you never know, they may be incorporated somehow.

The images are not the best as I am not a graphical person (or a website builder really so the site is still being tweaked!) so if you want to help out and let people use graphics you create see th website and I will upload them for people to use (and credit the creator!)

Mods - apologies if this is not within the rules etc.

Its now posted to a couple of Nintendo Wii related boards where the people there seem to like it and at last a couple of user designs are starting to come in to my mailbox.....

All I have to do now is see if Nintendo do any online stats in the future that can be linked to the tags.

So - if you are a budding artist, feel free to send me the tag images you create :D

Nice sig but you will have to shrink the text, as only one line is allowed below an image.
 
If I get any time I'll knock together a few OcUK friendly images - any particular ones in mind? Any particular image format it has to be?

Great idea btw.

Okie doke! The text that you put over the images, can this change per image? For example if I made a light image could you make the text dark (as opposed to light on the sig I have now...) ?

:)

[EDIT: What about positioning of the text? Is that something that can vary from image to image too? I could make obvious text placeholders for example.]

Yup, it can be wherever and whatever colour you want - will edit the form so people can select what colour they want.

The font sizes can change but I think the small bold one looks good.

Will look into putting normal fonts in there as well this week (its a learn as I go along thing!!)

Yes please - tags (at) wiitag (dot) net will get them to me :)
As soon as I get them I will put them up....may have to stretch the site to fit them all in.

You are doing some and some chaps on the Wii forums around t'Internet say they will make some as well :D

Woohoo - at least no one will have to put up with my crummy attempts at images :D :D

cheers, did try to get it on one line earlier but gave up as i had to go out. sorted now tho :)
 
Some quick images I've just done. Nothing special, but I didn't want to over-do it with you needing to put text over the top. Some different games and sizes; had a lot more in mind but I have some gaming to do!

/EDIT: Dagnabbit, can't seem to get the Wiimote one to have transparent edges and under 20k without it looking tud. Someone do the honours? :p
 
Ok I suck. I've hosted all the damn images on my PC upstairs, forgetting I only use that for testing, quick viewing, blah blah. Lemme re-host...
