Wii U No support WPA2-PSK (AES)

If it's true about Wii U OS shipping buggy then why not connect it wired and update it before messing around with the wireless?

please explain?

my neighbours dont even know how to change the default SSID of their BT hub's and sky hub's never mind know how to crack WPA

What about your neighbours who know what they are doing and you don't even see their SSID broadcast or the guy 2+ miles away using an amplified/parabolic antenna and spends all their time doing dubious stuff on the internet. (They do exist).

then i can surely check the router logs and connected device list?

also seriously what are the realistic chances of this happening to you?

also if they are that smart then surely if they can crack wpa they could also crack wpa2? sure it may take longer but to someone who really wanted to could do it.

plus theres actually a lot of people out there with wep which is the easiest to crack and i dont see their whole lives being turned upside down by these hackers.

basically if he selects the bottom one, 99.99999% chance he wont get hacked yet his wii will work, seriously cannot believe people think like the above.

do you keep all your windows and doors locked 24/7? and make sure you lock all your car doors every time you get in and out of the car, even if only for 10 seconds?

Why not move the Wii next to the router, wire it, update it and then faff around with wireless?
It is updated....;)

I updated it before I put Security on my wireless network...
(I didn't have my wireless network protected for many many years )

I just notice it is AES my router is using...

But my wii U is saying it's TKIP ...

You can manually configure the Wii to use AES then if it's picking it up wrong.

Goto the Internet Connection Setup, then click Connection Types and Manual Configuration.

@everyone suggesting he wire it up, you do realise Wii / Wii U are wireless only? :p
