Hi Folks

When I got my Wii yesturday I set it all up and started the update, but had to go out for the entire night, so i left it.

When I came back a message had come up about reducing burn in on the screen so i just hit ok to that.

There wasn't any message saying the update was successful, and then it popped up saying an update was available, so i told it to download it, 15 mins later it was a quarter of the way through and then just said

"Update Successful"

So i thought great...

Now I've been having problems with my wireless (router problems)

Now whenever I tell the Wii to test the net connection it comes up

"The connection test was successful. Perform a Wii System update now?
Wii support code : 61212"

I tell it to update and it just says...no updates available...

Any ideas whats going on?

Thanks :)

Well there were 2 updates, sounds to me like you downloaded them and that's it...

The Wii is just asking if you want to check for updates after testing your connection but since you have them all there are no moer to download.

My advise is to put in a game, play it and have fun :)

I was up till 3am last night and my mum came in to find me spacking out over boxing :D

dumb question, and probably already answered but I'm not going to be using a net connection with my Wii so will I not have to download the updates?

Of course not :D They only activate the net channels. Besides, some updates such as the SD card update will be supplied along with other softare for those without net connections in early 2007 (as stated by nintendo in the user manual).
