I really hate this 'preordering game consoles for profiteering from Ebay' thing that seems to have evolved recently. In fact, I'm getting old, I preferred it when gaming was a distinctly none-mainstream pastime. *Sigh*
Nintendo just had the best launch of any console ever to be honest.
Wii campers outside stores all over were greeted with portable Wii segways to play on, wii warriors roamed the queues entertaining the crowd
On top of that Wii is shifting more sales than PS3.
On top of THAT though everyone who currently has a Wii is reporting the best fun they have had on a console in years.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan!
I also loved the video of the guy dressed in a big wiimote who walked around the ps3 queue, the queuing people asked "what can wii do?" and he said something like "you can wave it around & ****"

Nintendo stated they want to sell 4million worldwide by the end of the year. To make a bold statement like that they must be confident in meeting demand.

Since my link in the other thread was removed due to vulgarity/swearing, there is an alternate one for the Wii which sort of puts in perspective of what happened to the PS3....(minus the swearing)

I have read a lot of comments from people that really like it. More than from those that hate it infact, which surprised me. If you can get over the slow turning i think it is likely to be an enjoyable game. CoD3 looks to have much better controls though.
I really want one, just can't justify the outlay at the moment. Especially considering how much i used my Dreamcast after the first year and a half. Still love it when people are round for an evening mind.
