Well first off, apologies if this question appears twice, I did put it on another post, but then it didnt appear and now i cant find the thread.

so here is Q.

Some people have mentioned using a usb to ethernet adapter to conect the wii to the net (the built in wi fi is awful in my experience)

I have looked on nintendo sites, and they dont seem to be getting released until December.

I have tried to conect a generic on but got an error message (tested the usb adapter in a pc afterwards and it needs a drive, so I am guessing that is the problem)

does any body have link to one, or can give me an idea of one that does ork wth the wii please.

I borrowed a wireless router to try and conect and it was terribly slow to update, took over an hour to progress an inch, and then I had the bright idea of restarting my internet (ntl) to see if i was getting a bad conection, and i turned the plug off that was conected to the wii. (depsite the big DO NOT TURN POWER OFF sign on my tv, it seems to be ok - the air was blue for a few minutes I can tell you, but i guess it was ok because it was downlaoding and not actually at the flashing bios stage)

any way, if any body can help I woudl greatly apreciate it

Hi mate,

I have a USB to Ethernet adaptor which I ordered from Japan for my Wii. I have since sold the Wii but still have the adaptor. Yours for £10 + postage if you like?

Yes definitely works with the Wii :) I got it from Lik Sang before it was shut down by Sony.

Send me an email and we'll sort out the details.

Cheers
