Any sites to confirm what version it would be?

First, Far Cry Wii will include elements from Far Cry Instincts Evolution, in addition to a fresh storyline, new maps, characters and equipment. Second and even more importantly, Far Cry has strong diversity of gameplay so the game is a natural fit for the Wii remote.

I actually dont want stuff like cod3 and farcry on the wii .. i want it for original innovative games myself not just another slurry of fps from dev's like ubisoft :/ I mean yes they have to cater for a wide range of gamers but that wont be my reason ... roll on mario galaxy , wii sports and warioware craziness.

Why would they, it's generating a massive amount if free publlicity!

Maybe now but I'm not sure if it will help sales when it comes down to it, then again who knows! :)

well since the prices are in dollars, and all the dates are american, we can pretty much ignore most things from this list, as just see it as games to be released.

No news for us in the UK at all really.

No press is bad press... apparantely

I'm just thinking Nintendo aims a larger proportion of its games at a younger market and the name (WII) might be more of a sticking point to them. I mean I can't imagine a console called WII will be the same in children’s eyes compared to the cool image of the PS3 and 360.

Obviously the majority of people on here are pretty well informed and the console name makes little difference but to the rest of the world I think it would be more of an important factor!

Yeah I see your point. Nintendo are aiming at the whole family this generation much like they did with the DS, they want the whole family to play together.

I just know that when you see FarCry and Ubisoft in the same sentence it won't be the proper game. XPE's link seems to confirm this.

Huh? Ubisoft published the original FarCry for PC and all the other FarCry games.

Ubisoft published the original FarCry but crytek made it, crytek did not make the console games.

Ok the original PC version is the exception :p
Basically Crytek and Ubisoft had a disagreement but Ubisoft got to keep the rights to the FarCry franchise and use of the engine but not the game itself. That's why they made new (probably inferior, haven't played them) games for consoles rather than port the original game. EA will be publishing the true successor (but not sequel) to FarCry.

i just can't wait. EA how marvellous. A true bastion of bug free and well supported games .

As for the Wii games, there are loads missing from that list.

I know that, but Crytek wasn't mentioned, Ubisoft were, and as I said, Ubisoft have published all versions of the game. This was my point.

EA aren't all bad, EA don't make the games, it's not always up to EA to get rid of the bugs. As Crytek are making it, it's down to Crytek to rid the game of bugs.

EA Games come in for a lot of unnecessary bad press by under-informed people. Considering they publish 25% of all released games a year they don't do a bad job at all.

EA suck as publishers because they put too much pressure on release deadlines forcing buggy unfinished games to be released.
