Got some wildebeest steaks to use tomorrow, wondering if anyone on here has cooked some before, and if so what how you cooked them, or what recipes you used. Or if anyone else on here got some ideas about what I could try doing with them. Not sure wether to try them just as normal steaks to try the full taste of the meat or to stew them, but I'm not sure if I stew them I'll lose some of the flavour.

Cheers

Never had it, but I would treat it like beef.
So if it's rump or similar treat it like a fast grill steak.
If its like stewing steak stew it.

Does your local butcher supply that or did you get it imported? Haven't found it as easy to get a hold of meats like that since I moved from South Africa (not as easy to find for obvious reasons).

Had it last night, just fried it like normal steak in the end and had with salad, very nice taste, would have it again, very lean meat.
