Wilko F Cable?

Unless you've decided to run a BNC network or moca (possible if you were in the US - but then you wouldn't ask about Wilko), what has this got to do with the networking forum? Wilko don't make it, they buy it it from a third party at an agreed spec, i'd be surprised if it isn't shielded with foil/braid if you're buying it by the meter, the pre-made patch leads are just foil from memory, but like most things, they will buy different products from different suppliers at different points in time.

Many options on Amazon, can't see one being drastically different to another.

Custom eBay should just work fine.

I need to move the SuperHub out from behind the TV so rather then messing about making up a cable or contacting VM i thought i would use one of the pre-made ones , just checking to see if anyone else has done the same and not had issues with line noise as internet spec 75 ohm cable is supposed to be dual foil and braid shielded from what i understand.

I just wondered if anyone had had any experience with pre-made cables and checked their up and downstream levels before and after on the VM network as there used to be a time when it was against their terms to change or replace the cable but i'm not being charged £48 for engineer call out to make up a longer cable.

When Virgin installed at my old house I’d paid for multi room and didn’t have the additional room fitted. I asked them to leave me a splitter and a load of cable. They did that and it was fine, the cable was great to use and didn’t feel cheap. Since then I’ve had my hands on Screwfix RG6 and it felt awful in comparison and was a touch thinner. I can’t imagine the Wilko version being much better.

Premade should be ok for short runs, you can always move it, check figures and move back if not.

Thanks Swifty but i've already ordered a cable from (super-satellite-man) on ebay , Ace Modder bought one from him a few years back that's been ok.
