Will a 4G Nano work in a 1G Nano dock?

If it doesn't, i guess I'll have to get a universal dock along with my new Nano

dont see why not i use the same cable for my 80gb classic and the mrs 8gb nano.

I'd imagine the connectors would be the same, but you may actually have a problem getting it seat correctly. As the 4G and 1G Nanos are different sizes and shapes.

You should still be able to use the 4G nano with the supplied cable, so you won't be left high and dry as it were.

Yeah my only concern is the actual physical placement of the port on the new Nano... if it's now on the right hand side, then there's no way in hell it'll fit into the 1G Nan dock (seeing as the port is on the left).

Spot on, it won't fit. You will need the universal dock.

Yeah it is a bit ridiculous, imagine the profit they are making! I expect they cost pence to make.

Try the bay, that's where I purchased my 2G Nano Dock.
