Will a 7700k bottleneck 3060 TI at 1440P?

Looking to upgrade my old 1070 but worried about the 7700k CPU causing a bottleneck
Can't even upgrade the chip because its the highest supported by the mobo

I game at 1440p and the 7700k is at stock right now.

It will depend on the game but I'd say if you can overclock to 4.8-5ghz you should be alright with a 3060ti.

I am slightly bottlenecking the 3070 with my 7700k.

Just to add if I enable RT in cyberpunk and set DLSS to quality I get ~60fps reducing the DLSS setting lowers the internal res and puts the bottleneck back on the CPU as with DLSS performance I still get roughly 60fps maybe 1 or 2 more. BOCW is similar.

All depends on your desired frame rate.

any cpu can bottleneck a GPU at low enough res. Any GPU can bottleneck any cpu at high enough res

What did you end up doing? Did you keep your 7700k? If yes, how does it hold against your 3060ti?
