I'me really tempted to upgrade my 7750 to the HIS 7850 as I could do with the extra power and seems like a great deal.
Only problem is my case only as 1 slot, even though there's plenty of room at the side for the 2 slot cooler. The case is the Fractal Array R1 (not the R2 which does have 2 slots) I don't use the 6 bay drive rack so length and height would be fine.
What I'm wondering is if can just drill some vent holes where the second slot would be and just fit the card in position.
Is there a reason this wouldn't work?
