Will a Intel H80i V2 fitting kit work with a H100i GTX extreme ?

Hi , I currently have fitted a Crosair H80i V2 AIO , all working just great.

A friend is offering his H100i GTX Extreme for free , but the only issue is that he does not have the INTEL fitting kit , but I have a H80I v2 AIO fitted in my system .

Can I use my Intel fitting kit from H80i v2 AIO with the H100i GTX Extreme ?

Both the cooler headers look to be the same and so do the instructions too :-

Also is it worth doing compared with my h80i v2 ?!?!?! I have just bought a new i5 8600k and I want to overclock to 5ghz...so I am looking for good cooling..

Both the H80i V2 and H100i GTX use the same mounting kit, so you should be fine. Temps may be a little cooler with the H100i GTX, but the difference is going to be marginal when under full load.

Cheers Nick, you pretty much gave me the same reply that the Corsair forums gave me , in practice I have found the H100 gtx to be around 8 degrees cooler on my overclocked 8600k great cooler so far.
