Will Campos and USF1 make it to the grid in 2010?

Well, the FIA must have doubts, and probably know a lot more than we do about Stefan GP. Thats the only reason I could think of for this denial.

Or the fact that after the teams were selected Zoran Stefanović started complaining loudly about the selection process, taking it as far as filing a complaint with the European Commission.

Oh, and having Mike Coughlan on the payroll.

I really did want to see a yank team on the grid, but hey-ho... hopefully we get another North American entry next year... nothing to do with KA though, he seems to be the weakest link!

And they only have one car, and no tyres or spares.

WOOOOO! FIA Fail once again!

Ignore all the big teams who could provide the cars but may side with the other manufacturers against the FIA and instead choose a load of little teams to fill the grid.

Change the rules to adjust qualifying and the points to fit the new 26 car grid.

Sit back and think "har har, standard Coswroth engine through the back door and lots of little teams who will help us win over the manufacturers"

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand............ shock horror, none of them turn up!

*facepalm*

So were now left with a formula geared around 26 cars, yet only with 22 turning up! Well done FIA, have a special idiotic fail cookie!

Seriously, could the FIA team choice have been any worse? None of the new teams that originally were selected have made it. USF1 are out, Manor has been bought out to make it in, as have Campos, providing they even turn up. Even the late entry Lotus is a second attempt after getting some extra Malaysian backing. And meanwhile big names like Prodrive and Lola were left out in the cold.

It just smack of political selection that has seriously backfired to the detriment of the fans.

WELL DONE FIA, YOU TARDS!

I still don't rate Campos/HRT/whothe****ever's chances of being even semi-respectable this season, if they make the grid at all.

Apparently they have their team launch tomorrow in Spain and the car will be shown.

I'm half expecting it to look like this or this... ;)

Although I was under the impression that if the cars aren't on the way in the next couple of days - they aren't going to be there.

It seems very daft that the fia are happy to let campos hit the track with barely a car and no testing (iam guessing 12s a lap off pace) but wont give stefan gp the same chance for the reason of-

'just cos'

But then again its been a long time since that FIA made much sense.

next year it should be anyone who doesn't turn up for the track testing sessions doesn't get a slot on the grid

First shot I could find of the Hispania(Campos) Car.
