should i go for bigger case with better cooling or scout will be just fine?
thanks for replies

What case are you in now?

My opinion: Smaller cases are prettier and I always prefer them. Cooling small cases is a nightmare. I'm completely giving up on matx until I can find a case that I can fit radiators in. Unless you need a small case for some reason, I vote go for a massive one. It's harder to transport but so much easier to work with. When full I strongly suspect I won't be able to lift my computer, but I wont be moving for another year so that's fine by me.

No, you have too many gigahurtz.

OK yes it will all fit, the case itself looks pretty good cooling wise so it should be absoultely fine for that set up.

I have one languashing at home at the moment waiting for the rest of my hardware to arrive :D
Everything should fit fine, though the 285's may require a bit of wiggling to get in.
Cooling wise you shouldnt have any problems, 140mm front instake, 120mm rear exaust and 140mm top exhaust.
For a bit more cooling you could shove a Scythe Kama-Bay in some of the 5 1/4 slots which is what I plan to do and whack a fan on the side window too.

I'm looking at getting the Scout myself, would it be ok with the following hardware in it?

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) -
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Asus P6T SE Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103UJ)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Modular Power Supply

The Scout will eat that for breakfast :D

Storm scout it's a good choice, i got one, with a Q9650, P5Q pro, HD 4890, 2 X 2Gb ocz,PSU ocz stealthxtream 600W, 1X 500 Gb Hdd , 1X 1Tb HDD, the HD 4890 it's cooled by a MUSASHI VGA Cooler SCVMS-1000 , this makes the 4890 temp drops from 52C to to 36C idle, and from 70~79C to 40~42C on full load :).
Yes coolermaster scout its a good choice.
PS: got the CPU @36C at full load with a cheap fan .Almost silent desktop.

Scout is a great case just did a little build with one myself, however to the OP good luck with wriggling in them 285's technically they will fit but the second one is going to be a pain to get in. You will definately need intake fans on the side too, some red led ones would look sweet on it as i found it to be rather dim in comparison to the pictures on the site. Not sure how well it will cool with those beasties in it either.

you can have a look at it with a 260 in if it gives you an idea, plus ive done a little mini review there if you fancy a look clicky

as for sharlaw you'll be fine mate with that.
