It must be falling from a height. I'd wager it's just splashing out because of the pace from the drop to the exit. A foot of drain pipe laying into the gutter would reduce that to a flow imo.
My point is, deeper guttering won't stop it splashing about. It might keep it further away from the soffit which is good but unless you address the exit velocity somehow, it's not gona help.
Understand, the gutter is being replaced regardless as the board behind it is. I will fit deeper guttering and address the exit velocity.
When the ACO goes in, I’ll look at moving that downpipe entirely
