Be more like twitter / RSS feeds like BBB text commentary - in a sense that the information is done and processed live and not having to Refresh pages, if you see what I mean?

Do they call it Web 2.0 or something?

Or will forums always be like this old school ? :p

Don't like the sound of it from a forum point of view, can't actually see how it would work from a thread point of view,

It would have to be sensibly done. For example, if the page scrolled every 2 minutes it would drive people mad who haven't reached the bottom of the thread.

These are the only forums I regularly use and I would like it to stay oldskool! Though something to tell you there have been new posts since starting your reply would be nice.

It would be quite nice to see responses appearing in real time. As long as the page didn't scroll around all over the place or slow down.

I wouldn't mind if you were in a thread and a small notification came up at the bottom saying "There have been _ more posts made" and when you click it, it shows the new posts.

suppose they could implement some kind of chat room addon but the mods would have a tough time ....

More real?

I hope they remain as they are. If it isn't broken, dont fix it.

Black and White televisions weren't broken, although I prefer my HDTV.

On topic though at this present time I don't care, but the younger generation may think its the next cool thing...

Is the real world (that TV often depicts) displayed in black and white, I'm convinced I can see in colour! ;)

I'm all for improvements like with TVs, but I dont think this would be much in the way of an improvement in the same vein as black and white TV > HDTVs :p
