Will / have you gone back to PC gaming

I still sift between PC gaming (RTS's) and the 360. Ballad/Gaye Tony as well as Call of Juarez 2 have been my first 360 purchases in a long time.

RTS titles like SupCom are the only thing I play on my PC. I prefer to play games not spend hours trying to figure out why the sod is crashing/stuttering and generally being a pain as have been my last few pc purchases. If there were more RPG's that gave me good value gameplay (none of this 4hr CoD rubbish) like The Witcher then I'd be back in a shot.

I never quite get why it has to be PC OR Console. I guess time wise, one's going to lose out a little at times but still no reason to be stuck with just the one.

I only have a laptop these days (more down to a shoulder injury stopping me from sitting at a desk for long periods than any other reason) but it manages to keep up just about with a fair amount of games. I mainly play RTSes, random indie games and MMOs on the PC, plus whatever's thrown my way to review.
I like the variety of different genres on the PC, always feels more varied and less mainstream than the consoles so I'll never give up PC gaming entirely :) Just maybe less so than when I was an Everquest and Counterstrike addict.

Yes i'm going back to pc gaming the reliability of of consoles is just not good enough. You don't see people complaining about pc dying every five minutes and the games are cheaper.

No they complain every five minutes about the game crashing or some other issue with actually playing it. :D

My 360 has died once in over 3 years, i can guarantee I've had games crash a hell of a lot more than that :p

Steam deals have swayed me back to PC gaming. Not getting rid of my 360 mind, but I'm going to do my best not to pay a premium for new titles.

I just picked up a 5770 so I can enjoy L4D2, The Witcher and Hitman: Blood Money. Dragon Age will definitley be worth a punt too, but I'll wait for the price to come down.

You need both these days. I play on the PC and PS3 quite a bit. Havng a decent PC lets me play most xbox360 exclusives so there isn't much I can't play. I just downloaded Team Fortress 2 off steam for £2.50 (deal now passed) it makes me really wish steam games were cheaper. OK, not THAT cheap but they are just too expensive for a download. Also, it's easy to get PS3 games for cheap unless you have to have them with 1-2 months of them being released. When I had the PS3 in the summer, the 3 new games that were £40 that I had my eye on (Infamous, Ghostbusters and Kill Zone 2) all auction for £12-£18 now. Plus they are 100% sellable items once you have finished them.

I had my PS3 for 3 months.

Then gave it to my sister.

FPS and RTS only work well on the PC. Most other genres do well on both, or better on consoles. Seeing I play mostly FPS and fighting games, PC is all I'm interested in.

Until of course I see Guilty Gear or Blazblue on the PS3.

I got my PS3 copy of BlazBlue yesterday, and it's seriously amazing, the style is so to my tastes.

It's £40 for a US copy and theres no region lock.

I hardly touch my PS3 at the moment and use it mostly as a media extender.

Currently playing Left 4 Dead, X3 Terran Conflict, Empire: Total War, Team Fortress 2 and can't wait for Left 4 Dead 2.

I'll probably not go back to my PS3 until the next Final Fantasy or God of War then the Pc will get ignored.

I have recently, with titles like Borderlands, Left 4 Dead 2 and possibly Modern Warfare 2, I've been doing more gaming on my PC in the last few weeks than in a long time. It still hasn't reovertaken my Xbox for the enjoyment factor, nor the ease factor (and I doubt it ever will for me). But there are some good games out that need to be played on the PC in my opinion. :)

Never left ;) have both 360 & 2 decent PC's.

If games are made for both I tend to always buy the PC version as its technically superior in every way especially vsync to prevent screen tearing & AA to remove jaggies then the loading times are a lot faster as well.

GTA4 on a decent PC looks fantastic & so much better than the console versions as does almost every other recent multiplatform game. Resident Evil5 & Batman Arkham Asylum really look sharp & more detailed plus for BAA it has PhysX as well for additional smoke & debris FX.

If your a serious gamer you really need a decent PC (You can build one for under £600 now which will be superior to PS3 & X360) as well because its easy to connect it to your HDTV (with a £5 DVI to HDMI or HDMI to HDMI cable) and game on it with much better looking games and you can even reuse your wireless 360 controller(s).

But obviously piracy is killing the PC as a mainstream games platform so it gets less games support even though there are over 250M gaming capable PC's in the world handhelds now sell more games so its going to become more like the MAC games market with select mainstream releases only as PC is unlikely to get anymore PC only titles as games development is too expensive now and a lot of PC gamers despite being happy to pay for high end hardware think they are entitled to free games for some strange reason

I play games on PC every now and then, even though i have a 360 Mass Effect 2, L4D2 and Splinter Cell will more than likly be PC purchases. The thing is you can have your uber PC with 16xAA, super hi-res etc, but it cant play Uncharted 2, Forza 3, God of War 3 etc, games IMO are far more fun than anything ive played on a PC for a while. I think having as many platforms as possible to game on is ideal, the PC is the one i would miss the least if i no longer had access to a gaming one.

I didn`t think piracy was such a problem these days?

PS3 games can be sold but I`ve found they sell on eBay for real rubbish prices compared to PC games which seem to go for better prices.

I`ve started using my PS3 for movie playback, I copy files onto USB and watch on the telly. I`ve not tried to figure out yet if I can copy wirelessly to the PS3.

Never left PC gaming, got a console just because everyone else has one and they don't really impress me so they are just collecting dust

Until GT5 is out that is a different story, maybe ;)
