I've currently got 4gb kit of OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Vista Performance Platinum Dual Channel in my system and wondering as prices for memory are so cheap, upgrading to 8gb.

My motherboard is in my sig and I've noticed the OCZ Gold series on offer this week.

Am I likely to encounter any compatibility problems installing these sticks alongside the platinum or do you think it should be a simple addition?

Cheers

Issues are possible. Mixing memory is often hit-and-miss. But, OCZ memory usually comes in a nice resealable package that can be returned under the distance selling laws without the retailer ever knowing that the package was opened ;)

To be honest though I've been having a think and 4gb is enough for now anyway. 8gb is just going to be overkill for what I'm doing with my PC at present.
