i brought a copy of vista 32bit OEM for my laptop, clean installed/activated it, played around with it for a while and decided until notebook hardware control works properly with vista (i hate fan noise!!), i decided to restore a winxp ghost image i made before installing vista and in my haste i forgot to take an image of the vista partition before it got wiped.
when nhc finally gets vista compatibility (currently it blue screens when ran), and i reinstall, will i run into any activation problems of any sort? it'll be the same kit as when it was installed 2 weeks ago.
reading that people advise to install vista then take a ghost image right away, is that just to get around calling ms for reactivation when changing hardware? or is that to avoid situations like described above?
