HI...

currently i have:

OCZ (4x1GB) PC2-6400C4 (800mhz) Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)

i want to UPGRADE TO (for o/c my E8500 to 3.8ghz- 4.2ghz):

G.SKILLS

2x2 GB (4GB total) (1000mhz) - the reason is that i can buy second handed for £35 ONO

is it worth or not?

My spec: E8500 , Asus P5Q-E, 4870

I would say no. Not unless you specifically want 2 sticks of 2gig, rather than 4 sticks of 1gig, or, you want it specifically for overclocking...

Performance wise, you'll see almost no difference going from PC6400 to PC8500

The only reason i would do it, if you sold your current ram and got that stuff second hand it wouldn't really cost you anyfing.
