Hi there

I have a 1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620A ATA-100 16MB Cache - OEM at the moment and a Raptor 36gb 8mb cache as my gaming drive.

I was thinking of selling the Raptor and buying another Seagate 7200.10 and setting the both up to RAID0 I know there will be no redundency but a have another 200gb drive I can hitch up via USB too back-up pictures and bits....

So my question is will the 2 x Seagates on RAID0 perform well as an OS and gaming drive/s??

Thanks

The Seagate you have is IDE. Do you know if your mobo supports RAID over IDE? There are some boards which support RAID over IDE but the majority of RAID solutions these days are SATA only.

You would be best buying SATA drives for RAID, im pretty sure the DFI boards dont do IDE RAID is so it wont be very fast i think :(.

Sorry gents

All the drives I have in my pc are on Sata so I'm sure the new drive will work fine!

Should have it in at the weekend!

Hi guys

Can anyone confirm that the latest Sata Raid nVIDIA nF4 Silicon Image 3114 version is infact 1.5.10.0?

I have a Lanparty Ultra-D motherboard ?

I want to make sure I get the latest version loaded after hitting 'F6' at fresh build stage when my drive arrives tomorrow ...

Many thanks! ;)
