Will it do?

How do we know if it will do? It's like choosing a 3 piece suite, it's down to your personal taste in style and comfort.

If you like it then that's all that matters.

i cant go have a ganders, its from Direct, and they dont have a Direct in the one in Crewe, only a direct counter, no products...

go and sit on a few chairs and find one you feel is comfortable to you and in your price range

If you really want it, order it and try it. From the pics it looks very nice, very comfy with the extra padding etc. Check with Tesco what they're returns policy is first though, see if you can return a Tesco Direct product to the store.

I've bought a chair from Tesco before, it was ok i guess but i now know i could have got something far better for the same amount even from places like Ikea.

really? im after something with some nice looks, black and maybe brushed metal and leather or facric..£100 tops, spec me!

I spec you a trip to Ikea so you can have a look at and sit in whatever they have to offer in that price range (loads of choice) and decide for yourself :p

WOAH! just looked on Ikea website, the chairs are basic and boring, and EXPENSIVE for what you get a £15 argos chair looks the same!

wouldnt you rather go walk into a shop and sit on the chairs ....try them out ?

btw wouldnt the link be classed as a competitor since they sell computer stuff too ?

That's what I thought.

Anyway although you're right about a lot of the office chairs in ikea being overpriced for what they are, I remember sittingon this one and thinking 'Wow. This is pretty damn comfortable'.

Like memory said though, you can never really tell if you'll like an office chair (or any chair really) unless you go out and physically sit on it or whatever. I just got mine off the net from Staples [if this is classed as a competitor let me know, i'll edit the post if it is] without actually seeing what it was like and whilst it is alright and it is pretty comfy, I think I would have chosen a more comfortable chair if I'd actually gone out and tried some out.

Have a look on Viking Direct and look at their Niceday leather executive range, very very good value for money :)

Ive had an idea

Well whilst thinking about wandering around town tommorow in search of a new chair, i thought, hang on, i know what is really comfy, and stylish....

...A BUCKET SEAT yes thats right a racing bucket seat, they are suprisingly comfy, so i thought, that could be my PC chair..

...heres the problem..

..They dont come with funky wheels and gas lift stands so how easy would i be to unmount a standard PC seat, and replace it with a bucket seat, and would it hold up?

Perfectly possible RE the bucket seats, we had them for a while here. Were comfortable and mounting wasn't too hard.
