Will My PSU Be Able To Handle an Nvidia Titan?

Yes you should be fine, a stock Titan uses about 250watts.

Having said that though do you really want to get a Titan when there are cheaper faster options available.

It's the wrong time to purchase Titan, there could be a price cut coming(be it new or second hand) with release details-performance/price of AMD's 290X on Tuesday.

You could save your self a fair few £'s by waiting for Nvidia's response-if any.

:)

Titan is madness full stop. For not much more dosh you can get SLI 780 over a titan, or even SLI 770 with cash to spare, and that would annilate a Titan. I know which I'd prefer.

Your PSU will be fine for a Titan Kryptonite :)

If you intend on massive over volting it won't though,as a Titan can pull near 500W by doing this. Just a heads up :)

I didn't know the Titan was that bad for value. What card would you all recommend then. I would do some Fraps recording for Youtube which would be my main reason for upgrading. I would rather lean towards AMD than Nvidia but I think thats just because I have an AMD CPU, price point and they are all I have ever used?

P.S. If you think this needs a new topic then I will make one.

The Titan is bad value for money and so is the 780 in truth but and a big BUT, they are the fastest single core cards out, so you decide if you want VFM or power.

What is the rest of your spec bud?

If you have the budget for a Titan, then go for a 780. It's got a premium, but does have enough of a boost over a 700 to justify itself. A titan doesn't differentiate itself enough from a 780 however.

Titan is terrible value for money. Wait for the release of the 290X and see how it compares to a 780.

This. You said you would prefer an AMD GPU anyway. When the Radeon R9 290X comes out, at worst, it will save you a chunk of money buying an nVidia card or at best, it will provide you with a better option.
