Hi.

currently, I have an A10 6800k and have gotten bored of the built in GPU and feel its time for an upgrade.

Im thinking of buying the Gigabyte AMD R9 270 OC 2GB

at the moment I have an 430watt be-Quiet 80+ PSU.

so yeah, I've checked on some calculators and asked some of my more knowledgeable friends, and 430watts should be enough, however it seems to be cutting it close. So I just wanted some more opinions.

note: I already have this PSU, I don't really want to upgrade but will if i have too.

thx

It should be fine for that card but be careful if you stick anything like a 290 in there in the future. Your 430w psu is not actually 430w. Depending on the model you only have 360w (Pure Power L7) or 396w (Pure Power CM L8) on the all important 12v rails. The rest is made up on the minor rails.
