Hi there,

I currently have a Asus GeForce GTX 780 3072MB and I really want to upgrade to a NVIDIA GeForce MSI GTX 980Ti.

I'm worried that, because I got my PC a few years ago (from here btw), my other specs might bottleneck the new GPU's performance.

Can anyone tell me if the below specs will cause this issue?

Case: NZXT Phantom Enthusiast USB3.0 Full Tower Case - Black

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor

PSU: OCZ ZX Series 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply

Motherboard: Asus Z87 SABERTOOTH Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

RAM: TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD 16GB DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz

Primary Drive: Samsung 512GB SSD 840 PRO SATA 6Gb/s Basic

Secondary Drive: Western Digital VelociRaptor 1TB 10000RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

Could you please remove the competitor link as it is against forum rules.

In answer to your question, your system will be fine with a 980ti. Ran a similair setup myself until recently with a Ti.

4ghz will be decent enough, my CPU was the updated 4790k. I did have it overclocked but even at stock it was grand. The 4790k runs at 4ghz on one core only due to Intel turbo. Have a look in your bios to see if the ocuk overclocked profile is still present.
