Well hes been at old trafford for a while now and hes struggled to make impact, hes 21 so u would expect quite big flashes of brilliance but they are limited and rare. I know ronaldo was poor at 21 but he had the eye candy and could still make an impact. I feel that Nani is a one trick pony, hes made of tricks but has no end product, if you look at his crossing his movement and his footballing brain it is pretty poor.

Another, oh come on! :p

I reckon he'll make it. He's at the right club and under the right people to potentially be one the top wingers. It's clear he has the all the attributes, it just takes time and experience.

When nani first started playing for United I really liked him, he was never greedy and nearly always went for the easy option but scored a couple of screamers. Now he always seems to be on a one man mission to score, I'm hoping it's just a phase and he'll grow out of it as he has LOADS of potential. His finishing is fantastic when he's composed, he can use his left foot and his crossing is sometimes fantastic (been a bit crummy from corners recently, but he was great before).

My 2 cents

hehe yh sos bout the man utd factor to it :P just been griping me to make a post bout it but never got round to it until now

He frustrates the **** out of me but if anyone can get the best out of him Fergie can

His crossing is actually quite good when he doesn't go for goal, if he cuts out the greedyness and learns from the rest of the squad he could become great

At the moment though he ****'s me right off

He's only 23 now :/

damn people are so picky...................................... when i used to play pro football myself at prem league :), so im not being funny not being big headed but i know more than 3/4 of you so please, and yes at 21 he was frustrating to watch tbh, bags of potential waiting to be unlocked

Odd. Firstly, Nani isn't made of tricks. Infact, he doesn't do any bar theatrically thrashing about on the floor.

Ronaldo also wasn't poor at 21.

I didn't want Nani when we were rumoured to be after him, I'm still not a massive fan now. He has a phenomenal shot but zero consistency, can't beat a man despite incredible pace and his crossing is 1 good, 5 bad.

I don't like him, I hate how he tries to con the referee, how he cheats and how he continually frustrates. When he plays well he's brilliant, but I just don't see enough from him.

Who did you play for?

he showed last season against arsenal what he could be, he just needs to start being more consistent, less greedy and I think he looks short on confidenceat the minute which isnt helping, he certainly has the potential and the skills its just putting the two together he seems to be having problems with at the minute :)

lol, what he did against us last year, was against the weakest side we could really hope to put out, against Hoyte, one of the single worst defenders the universe has ever seen to be quite honest. How he lasted so long at Arsenal I have no clue, how on earth Boro decided to buy him I really don't know.

If we actually played a one legged blind man he would have had a better chance of tackling Nani than Hoyte.

Nani has played well but thats simply not in any way a measure of him from that game. In the Euro's he had one decent game, and absolutely no impact, no good passing, shooting or crossing in the other games at all, woeful infact. He might get better, but other than a powerful shot, I don't see how he has all the aspects to be a great prospect. tricks, speed and power don't make a great football player, the thing that makes Ronaldo so good is his vision, the timing of his runs, the weighting of his crosses/passes/shots.. Nani doesn't seem to have any of those qualitys at all.

ronaldo had noe of them when he first came to man utd either.

and nani skinned yer entire side not just hoyte, be it a weakened side or not it still showed his potential.
