Hey guys,

I will be doing a fresh install of W10 when RX VEGA is relaesed, and awas thinking of upgrading my SSD at the same time..

I currently run a 128gb Drevo SATA III SSD and was thinking of upgrading to a Samsung NVMe M.2 SSD and wondering if it will be worth it, i.e. noticeable performance gains on a verity of tasks?

Does your board have an ultra m.2 slot?

Day to day, you won't notice the difference in truth, but it'll help future proof your PC and they're awesome!

Yeah mate it does.

Ahh, ok, thanks for that, I think I will stick with the SSD I have then, I mean it performs well and aint exactly a slouch atm so..

When I built my Ryzen rig I was in the same boat, have a sata evo 850 pro and bought a nvme 960 to plug into the new motherboard. To be honest I cant feel any difference! There wasnt a huge amount extra to pay for the NVME over another sata drive and I just wanted to try an NVME drive, so went for it. I now have both drives in the system, so the extra, fast storage space is nice, Ive put a steam folder on the old drive and boot from the new one.
