Will this overclock?

Hey guys. I'm looking at upgrading from my current setup. Currently i'm running

AMD athlon 6000+ x2
Asus M3A78 Pro
with 8gb Kingston PC2-5300 ram

Im currently looking at athlon II 425 or 620 but I want to know will I be able to overclock them at all in my motherboard?

I'd say that a higher rated ram i.e. 8500 and 4Gb would be better for overclocking your other components without getting stuck by memory being the limitation.

I would prefer not to have to buy new memory if I can help it. I don't mind shifting 4gb out tho. Ive another pc that I could use it in. My other option is to get a phenom II BE (the 940 is just over 100) but since I mostly game with only light photo editing and basic 3D modeling, I was hoping I could save a few pennies going with an athlonII
