I have an MSI P6N SLI mobo running OCZ 1 x 2 GB RAM (OCZ2G800R22GK) that according to the people I who built my system :

Cas latency CL 4-5-5-15
Memory speed 800MHz DDR2
Pin 240 Pin DIMM
Size 2 x 1Gb
Type Dual Channel DDR2
Buffered Unbuffered
Voltage 1.95 - 2.1
Warranty Lifetime Warranty

On this week only I see the OCZ RAM but with this description:

PC6400 800MHz CAS 4-4-4-12
- 64x8 DDR2 BGA Chips
- 240pin, Non-ECC, Un-buffered DDR2 SDRAM DIMM
- Aluminum Heat-spreader
- 6 Layers Ultra Low Noises Shielded PCB
- Lifetime Warranty
- 1.9V-2.3V Power Supply

Will this work with my own RAM or am I better paying a bit more and dropping more of the original RAM in to take me to 4 GB? I am using Vista 32 bit at present so accept it wont all be seen until I upgrade to 64 bit.
Worth doing?
If I need to make bios changes idiots guide please :P

I think the 4-5-5-15 stuff was Rev 1 of the OCZ Platinum. But it *should* work fone with Rev 2 if you keep them at your current settings.

You may need to give your northbridge voltage a nudge to boost it for 4 sticks.

And yet x86 Vista can only use ~3.25gb.

Installed it and so far I have not made any bios changes. Shows 3070 in system resources. Using Vista performance dials on the windows sidebar the ram use is about 20% than it was. So thanks for the help.
Now to test in game!
