Just found these in the clearance section, a bargain for the money I'm sure you will all agree. More importantly though will they run BF3 with ultra settings? I'm worried about the lack of VRAM.

Are you being serious? 128MB VRAM lol

I wouldn't say it was a bargain when you can get a GT 430 for a tenner more, which is still a low end card but a lot better and a lot newer than that card, obviously PCI-E as well.

If what we are hearing on the forums is correct, you will need at least 6gb of ram to run BF3 I'm sure. :p

So sorry that card just wont cut it I'm afraid. :D

Im gonna try it on my second rig, an i7 930 with an 8800gt, like a ferrari with a lawnmower engine.:D

Can't believe you are all being so silly. Of course the original linked card will be able to run BF3 at Ultra! Just checked a review and in Far Cry at 1600x1200 it hit 18FPS with maximum AA/FSAA - once it's hit that kind of height how could it possibly not max BF3?

Actually, thinking about it, I reckon it could run BF3 on Ultra on one screen while running Crysis 2 maxed out on a second screen AT THE SAME TIME.

Yes folks, forget your 6990s and 590s, this is the puppy you want in your watercooled babe magnet.

Busted :p

I was shocked though when I came across them in the clearance section, I can't imagine there's much call for high end old AGP cards anymore. They'll probably end up binning them.

To someone with an old AGP board, and a busted GPU, they might be a godsend.
