Will this run COD4?

i'm using an amd 3500+ and a 2400XT and can play cod 4 at 1680x1050 res with no eye candy in vista,

it works

i'd also say that my 2400xt is faster than my old x800 XL which is comparable to a 6800gt

for a passivly cooled £30ish stop gap the 2400XT is awesome.. it was almost playable on the crysis demo...

it's only the same as COD2 really just updated, it's no surprise it runs well, the graphics on it aren't that amazing.

yes, it seems an updated cod2 job, but nice enough, cod2 was demanding in its day ;)

So, you two have not actually played the game through then?

The graphics arent that amazing?

Im trying to work out if you re joking or not?

I only asked about the x850 xt because a freind plays the game on a P4 skt775 530? 3.2ghz cpu clocked at 3.9ghz with a x850xt, granted it isnt at full settings but its on medium textures with no aa @ 1280x1024.
very playable, and smooth so as a last resort its a choice but as someone else said get on the MM and find a bargain.

EDIT
and not to start something but cod4 brings a lot to the table that cod2 never had, it seems to handle better and has better interaction between you and your guns, graphics wise its miles and miles ahead of cod2 and does exactly what a sequal should do wich is to completly surpass the last generation with better gameplay, better story and just be a better game.
to be fair the single player game was proberbly the best i played last year and thats including the over hyped crysis.
but yes the game must be played at full detail to really enjoy it in its full otherwise its half a product!

I know that but still the graphics aren't amazing at all, that's all I'm saying.

they aren't good unless you play them at full whack, still then they aren't market leading but hey, COD is just a simple shootem up, not much skill invloved, it could easiy be played on a basic gamepad, unlike most games now :)

but yes if you want to play it properly then you need what i suggested, though i am sure a 8600 or a x1950xtx would run it on medium setting just fine :)

an x1950xtx can run it on high settings;)

by high settings what do you mean? and at what res? What kinda fps do you get?

Curious as my card is just a tad slower than yours but i have to turn off all eye candy to get it playing nicely on multyplayer.
