Will this run these games?

Don't have a clue why you've got 16gb of ram in there, considering you're only using your PC for gaming, not many games that I know of even utilizes 8gb.

Save yourself the money man.

Damn, I just specced up a i7 4770k system which includes a SSD, 8gb ram, 280x and o/s, for about £950, around the same price you pay for a prebuilt less powerful system, I know what I would do here.

Between 280x and 290x there is 10 fps difference apparently this is what I got told..
The 290x will cost for the whole system £1,221 :(

Possibly cheapest system I've seen with 290X with an eight core processor?
Would this be worth a try and would it run games on high/ultra graphics?

It'll bottleneck that R9 290X, and the games you want need higher core for core performance.

Each core on the FX83 is equal to about 60% of an Intel core in performance terms.

If you want to buy it, then buy it, just don't ask for advice to ignore it.

:O learning something new every time :P

So basically that PC I linked there would be rubbish with games and cause crashes etc?
I ain't ignoring your answers etc just looking around for a good decent PC for around £1,000, £1,100

So best getting intel i5 4670? I wont really need the "K" that's for over clocking which is pointless for games I play etc?

The FX83 won't crash, not in the slightest lol.
But for MMO's and DayZ, the performance comes up trumps against the Intel.

The FX83 isn't rubbish, nor will it give bad performance, but for what you want, it's inferior.

And overclocking for the games you want is beneficial as they want that extra core for core performance, which you get from an overclocked i5.

So would this handle games with out any lagg? Obviously there is performance issues in games but would this hit around 60-70 FPS easy on MMOs?

The price is putting me down a bit but it's good specs which would last me a good couple of years?

I can't really give you blanket figures of FPS, other than that due to MMO's not using many cores, they'll run faster on Intel than AMD.

Okay thanks for this Martin.
So basically just for the parts it would cost around £700 instead of £1,200?

I am basically just buying the casing/tower possibly worth £400..

I don't know for the pricing of the parts, it'd probably be more than 700, an R9 290X is like 400 quid by itself :p

Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 84W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics - £142.74
MSI AMD R9 290X GAMING Graphics Card (4GB, DDR5, PCI-E) - £407.08
NZXT Phantom 530 Gaming Case - £77.32
Prolimatech Armageddon CPU-Cooler - £54.27
Super-Flower SF550P14PE Golden King Modular 80plus Platinum 550W - £181.99
MSI Z87-G43 ATX Motherboard (Intel Z87, 4x DDR3, DVI, HDMI, 4x USB3.0, GBE LAN, LGA1150 Socket) - £72.52

= £935.92

If i went to 280x instead of 290x it's around £189.86 saving i got told there is a lot of difference in both of 280x and 290x 10 fps difference in them both

Why on earth would you pay nearly £200 for a 550W PSU?

Also, you don't need to take peoples word as proof, look at this link and compare for yourself.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1041?vs=1056

The important numbers to look at are gaming performance at the resolution you will be playing at. A 290X is obviously going to be better. But how much difference is there at 1080p? Can you tell the difference between 90fps and 120fps?

Personally, as long as its above 50fps, I don't care.

Without meaning to be rude, you seem to disregarding all the advice given and just coming back with nonsense questions.

Edit: In regards to some elements of that build though, unless you're going to be overclocking and messing about, I would go with a cheaper CPU cooler with the Raijintek Themis which performs brilliantly for £20.
