Will this run

As i read it the book says 8gb but then i might be reading it wrong.

Can anyone confirm?

Seems like you can.

8GB - 1066mhz looks supported according to that picture ;)

I doubt you would notice any real life changes but maybe you will get slightly better benchmarks with quicker memory. I'm not sure on how much the latencies effect the benchmarks, eg tighter latency slower speed.

Does that mean i can install 8gb ddr2 1066 in my machine? Also is there much diffrence between 800 and 1066?

Yep, you shouldn't have any problems with running 8GB of RAM in the motherboard that you have. All though, you may need to up the north bridge voltages slightly to get the system to run normally.

Another thing worth mentioning is that since you're installing the maximum amount of RAM the chipset can handle, the amount of RAM that will be available will be less than 8GB:

Microsoft said:
Note: When the physical RAM that is installed on a computer equals the address space that is supported by the chipset, the total system memory that is available to the operating system is always less than the physical RAM that is installed. For example, consider a computer that has an Intel 975X chipset that supports 8 GB of address space. If you install 8 GB of RAM, the system memory that is available to the operating system will be reduced by the PCI configuration requirements. In this scenario, PCI configuration requirements reduce the memory that is available to the operating system by an amount that is between approximately 200 MB and approximately 1 GB. The reduction depends on the configuration.
