I shall. Hope its a decent upgrade, either way the Q6600 will be replacing the E1200 in my WHS. And the 8gig Kingston ram will be going into the Media centre in the lounge.

Edit: ohh and putting Win 8 on both machines too.

Just an update. DPD managed to loose my parcel in Southampton. I have re-arranged delivery with 5UB for Monday to an alternative address and refunded postage, he was ever so pleasant, however the mrs will now see said items.

Worthy of a discount guys??? :D

So all has gone well so far. However, using the stock HSF and tim, i'm seeing core 0 @ 26c, core 1 @ 29c, core 2 @ 33c, and core 3 @ 38c.

I bleeding hope it's just a tim issue. But didn't Intel use crappy tim on the underside of the heatspreader?
I don't really want to have to pop the heatspreader off!!

Is that using HW Monitor?

Im using RealTemp and HW Monitor and my Ivy i5 not overclocked using Stulid's paste is idling at 30 degrees roughly. Though I cant see cores 3 and 4 as they dont show up :(

EDIT:

Got it to work in RealTemp. 33 degrees on all cores max at 5% CPU usage.
