Will this work?

I'm about to properly sort out my network in my flat and I was wondering if the diagram below would work;

I'm pretty sure it will work, the only part I'm not sure about is where I'm going to use a switch to link the main computer to the printer. So will it?

The big black line is a dividing wall, and I can only run one cable through it as I don't want to drill another one, hence why I've come up with doing it this way.

Providing the printer will work on a network, there's no obvious problem.
