I'm installing Windows 7 on a new SSD (AHCI mode) - But when I plug in my existing data drives (SATA) will they pick up ok? As now I have changed to SATA Mode in the Bios to 'AHCI'...
Yeah should be fine, people recommend when you install windows 7 on SSD to disconnect all other drives, saves confusion when installing etc, then reconnect other drives once finished instalation.

As above, unplugging your other drives makes things easier when installing and also avoids problems such as Windows putting the boot sector on the wrong drive.
