Will an AMD 9590 work ok with the MSI 990FXA GD65 motherboard? If so, do I need a new power supply?
Thanks

What psu do you have?

why do you want the new CPU? if you want to waist money you can just burn you cash.
just get a normal 8 core and over clock it as thats all the new ones are.

yes the cpu will work but update bios first and plzzzz dont buy it is just a bit waist of cash

I have a SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W. I want the 9590 because the 8350 is getting a bit dated.
Thanks

there the same CPU, just overclocked in the factory

what is your full set up, you should be ok with a SF 550.

the CPU is £180, you mobo is worth £60, and the cpu you have now is worth £50
for £290 you can get an i5 and motherboard, that will was out power the 9590

MSI R9 290
CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8GB
CORSAIR H55
WD CAVIAR BLACK 1TB
5 CORSAIR FANS

I'm thinking of upgrading gpu to a PALIT GTX 970 JETSTREAM soon though.
Thanks

then the 550 may be close to the boarder of what it can run

there as been testing done and if you Google there is lot of ppl running the two just fine was bios 19.9 or newer

That support list is upto date as it has the 8320E listed as I dont see the two big ones listed it rings alarms bells about the boards ability to power them properly and not throttle.

Which CPU should I get to play upcoming games like: Far Cry 4, Project Cars and GTA 5? Because for Project Cars, it says that an 8350 is recommended for it, and i'm sure it'll be the case for most games on the way.
Thanks

I know this is going off topic a lot, but how would I go about changing from an MSI to a GIGABYTE motherboard? I know how to physically do it, but I don't know what to do when it boots. Will it do everything by itself?
Thanks

Going to intel instead of buying a newer/slightly different FX CPU is a better choice.

MSI-Gigabyte, if the chipsets are the same then you continue as normal and there maybe a few new "hardware detected" bubbles pop up but that is about it.

If you are changing boards and socket and chipset type totally, then best to do a fresh clean install, saves faffing about.

Back up any pictures, music, important files you want to keep to another drive or cloud storage or anything really.

Get your copy on windows (presumably its on a disk) and insert into a dvd drive, make sure its the first boot drive option so the motherboard looks at it first, then the install will start, follow the instructions, it will finish and ask you to pick a user name etc before loading the desktop.

Then install motherboard chipset, gfx drivers and sound drivers etc.

Done.
