Wanting to know if this SSD is comparable with my motherboard and will it affect my PCI-e lanes, i would like my GPU to be at full 16x.
i know z170 as PCIe from chipset for m2 but i dont know about n150.

Couldn't honestly tell you, I know I didn't notice much day to day improvement going from a fast sataIII SSD to my m.2 Samsung jobbie (a 512GB quick one).

From reviews I have seen of the SM951 etc it isn't really any faster than an 850 EVO in boot times. You can mount a SATA SSD pretty much anywhere you have a bit of space. They can be left hanging etc if you have no bay for it, or get creative with cable ties/sticky velcro etc.

You should see what's stuffed in the back of my Corsair 540, 4 ssd's forced on top of the drive bay.

my case is an Enthoo ITX, it looks like it as tons of room but i have 3 rads in there and you run out of room fast. i could stick it to back of the motherboard try.

the Corsair 540 as room for the kitchen sink in the back
