Wasn't sure how to word the title.
My issue is I have a 250 and 160 hard drive in my machine running XP. I have one 500GB which will be internal and one 500 which will be in an external caddy as a backup.
The 160 is full and is going to be transferred to the 500. I am using the 250 for OS and games.
My problem is if I transfer all the files I want to keep to the 500 under XP. When I make a fresh install of Vista (64 ultimate) will it read the files properly I saved in the 500 while the machine was running XP. Files will be photos games saves etc. All apps I'll drop as I'll have to find the relevent Vista items.
