Williams confirms Martini sponsorship

Decent looking car, though the livery is a bit boring. They've got one of the least penisy looking penis style noses, largely because instead of bolting one pole into the middle of the previous flat front nose end they've tapered in to the narrow bit so it looks hugely better than most of the other cars.

Would like to see a Williams upfront again, though, starting to have suspicions about just how fast Ferrari really are.

The livery is a disappointment, needs more martini influence to much white for me. I really love the martini livery always loved it on the Lancia rally cars.

Can anyone find a picture of the awful Williams from the 90's which was blue one side and red the other? didn't last long, Winfield I think it was.

The Winfield liveries were on the FW20 and 21, but there were even all over, except the 21 which had bits of blue and yellow at the front and back.

The only car I can think of which has a split sided livery was on the 99 BAR

Anyone who thinks the martini logo is ruined should take note of that 555/BAR tragedy lol

Personally I like the design for this year's car, although I can see why others might want it more prominant.

Just out of interest, there is a BBC article noting the change in the Senna logo on the Williams for this year to celebrate 20 years since he passed. Hwoever they mention 162 races (161 starts) which reads very strangely imo (Im guessing the "missing" race is the fateful / fatal one, but he still started that last race)

Ew that thing was horrid.

They actually wanted to run one car in each of the liveries all over, but the FIA requires both cars from a team to be in fundamentally the same livery.

He failed to qualify for Imola in 1984.

I actually like the subtlety of the smaller stripes. Good looking livery IMO, and nice to see a recognised motor sports brand back in F1.

My mistake, that's the one I was thinking of, BAR, no wonder I couldn't find it!
