Williams launch thread

I see they've gone even more extreme at the rear of the car, it practically disappears into the floor before the rear tyres.

looks awesome at the rear, the side pods seem pretty tight in aswell, compared to most of the other cars so far?

if nothing else it should be fast in a straightline

No yellow on the car :( Wanted a 90's looking W-R car

lol Here ya go...

That's cool! (the 90's mock up) ^^

Do like a curvy rear too ;)

Hope the Renault engine and an extra year of running without any rear body work sorts the car out a bit, then shows up the drivers to be idiots and we can have someone likeable in the team

Why can't they do well again I used to support them as a team, then I haven't supported a team since they went rubbish.
Is the rear really going to be like that.

I still have a soft spot for Williams , as I followed them from 90 onwards when I first got into F1

Really hoping they have a great season and start climbing the grid again

What are these post box front nose sections just before the cockpit all about then?

edit: ignore, just seen the thread on it.

I can see what people are saying about how you start to get used to the ugly noses. I'm barely even noticing it, already. :/

Nice colours, tight rear, retro numbers, let's hope the Williams-Renault things works well again...:D

It made me laugh reading a couple of quotes today about the Williams being P1 in the Jerez tests last year, shows how little the one lap test times actually mean :D

I still hate the front and rear wings. Doubt I'm going to start liking the noses any time soon.

McLaren running in the first test a couple of years ago with the old rear wing and new front wing was much better, but still not great.

It's an extraordinary looking car, no doubt. I hope they've found something this year, it's sad to see the once great team sliding backwards into oblivion.

I still think the '08 cars are some of the best looking cars we'll ever see. Sure, they had every manner of winglet and flap hanging from them... But they looked, purposeful? I think that's the right word.

Show someone who's not into F1 that image and they immediately can appreciate the intricacy of Formula 1. Show them a picture of an 09' car with its massive front wing and tiny rear wing and they'll struggle to understand how it's faster than a GP2 car!
