I don't know the OP, I know nothing of the SS fiasco other than what I have gleemed from here. However, it was indeed a free give away, no different from the many other "post in this thread for your chance to win XX".

IF it was lost in the post then nothing can be done, IF the OP is lying about it then the winner hasn't really lost anything so claims to buy RAM are a little silly.

I think everyone needs to take a step back, grow up and realise that it's not important.

You all have the option to ignore the OP, if you don't like them, don't post in the threads!

Shayper if it doesn't turn up claim from royal mail. Send him something else to compensate if you want but there is no way you should be buying brand new ram because of pressure on the forums the contest winner has even told you not to worry about stuff like this happens. It is getting a bit tiresome. I have contributed a lot more to these forums than most of the naysayers, so I really don't understand the vehement vitriol aimed at me for a couple of issues.

As you said, royal mail are rather known for their downfalls. Whereas I have had two issues, one of which has been sorted, and I am trying to sort this issue now.

Some people just grab pitchforks for any issue they can.

Which post office did you post the items mate? I've no idea what the University Plain po is like, but all the others in that area - West Earlham, Colman Road, Larkman Lane, Earlham and Bowthorpe are all located in crap heaps of the worst magnitude. Hell - my ***** sister-in-law works at the Co-Op in West Earlham - she's probably thieved it, the scab. I'll ask her next time she takes a break off of the skag

Shayper, did you genuinely send it? If you did then it's bad luck and everyone moves on. If you didn't, just say so. It was a poor decision but honesty is better in these circumstances even if everyone thinks you're a **** for a week or two.

For what it's worth I'd like to believe you did send it. You don't strike me as a distrustful person.

**** happens, best we just deal with it.

I'm somewhat convinced that Shayper will be sending everything recorded from now on, so anything more is just looking back in hindsight.

Sounds like he has some history within the MM which has done him no favours whatsoever and called his reputation in to question.

These things happen, sure, but when there is doubt as to whether it has been posted then the only way for him to save his reputation is to replace the memory. If you have been promised a prize then you would expect to receive it. Anything other than the winner receiving the prize will result in the OP's reputation being damaged through his own making.

I bought a monitor off Shayper, in the MM and i have to say it was a very easy transaction and imo he is a good member.

This was a free giveaway, Shayper didn't have to offer this, and even though its gone missing, these things can happen.
Personally if i was Sayper, i would send the winner a trust message and sort something out between you.
Then i would reply to this thread that its now been sorted, then ask a don to close it.
