windows 7 ignores or does not honor my min-max 100% cpu setting under power management, so while gaming my machine is speedstepping to 1600mhz in less demanding parts of the game and shooting back up to my daily overclock causing less smooth performance.
I'd rather not disable speedstep entirely so does anyone know how to fix this issue via registry or something like that?
Some time ago high performance worked fine and allowed my CPU to stay at max frequency then I would turn it back to balanced once done with gaming
something high load like prime95 keeps it at 4.8ghz without reducing so I doubt this is down to throttling
