win 7 install problem

trying to install win 7 rc. Finds hard drive but says it cant create a partition etc. Any way around this?

press the delete partition button, then click the create new partition. But it will wipe all data.

humm. the only other thing I can think of,. is try formatting it to NTFS with an xp disk or formatting program.

Maybe try pre-creating a partition using FDisk or similar? (dont remember if you can do NTFS in it, hence similar

)

if you have more than one harddrive connected then disconect them all apart form the one you want to install it on.

tried all that. Have also verified checksum is ok. Will try the 32 bit disk and see what happens

Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 RC Support Forum. It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads there for additional support.
