Win 8.1 Clean Install - format problem.

I have tried to do a clean windows install, and when it comes to selecting the drives for the installation, when trying to format my SSD it comes up with the error; 'We could not format the selected partition [error: 0x8004242d]'

How do I go about this?

You could use http://gparted.org/ to format it.

Managed to sort this out now. However, in BIOS Windows Boot Manager is set to 1 on the boot sequence, and whenever I switch this with my disk drive it resets itself after I save and exit.

More than likely gparted and secure erased.
